All students in K5through 5th grade receive instruction by qualified, motivated and experienced staff members in Art, Character Development, Computer, Handwriting, Language, Leadership Skills, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Reading, Religious Studies, Science, Spanish and Social Studies. We us the MAP NWEA assessment test to test their skills to make sure they are at their national grade level.
Our scholars may be enrolled in After-School Programs to ensure that special emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy as well as balance of interest areas. The Houghton Mifflin & Harcourt Journeys curriculum coupled with the A Beka Book Curriculum which provides a well-balanced and rigorous reading and language curriculum that peaks students interest in reading through exciting text. They are both research-based curricula that guide young readers to gain a curiosity about the world and therefore a passion for reading both fiction and informational text.
Our Students use Every day Mathematics, which provides relevant mathematical experiences along with tools and manipulatives that help to make math interesting and practical. All other text book information is available upon request.
